I wonder?
I wonder why smokers feel the need to flick their ashes, hold the cigarette out a open window even during the winter, and throw their cigarettes butts out of their car while sitting at a stop light. If is so disgusting to them, why are they are surprised by non smoker reactions to their actions.
I wonder what the true reason why the government feels the need to collect citizen pictures of their fourth of July celebrations. Or is it as they claim to be?
I wonder if anybody is truly surprised about the outcome of the Iranian elections and the reaction of the Iranian government to protest of the results of the election?
I wonder if I am ever going to be able to play a guitar at an expectable level.
I wonder way Michael Vick got a longer and harsher prison sentence than Donte Stallworth?
I wonder how bad the economy would be if the government did not spend all the money on a bail out plan?
I wonder when the press is going to stop worshiping President Obama and begin to examine if his policies are good for this country.
I wonder if the Chicago Cubs will ever win a world series.
I wonder if God would allow hell to freeze over if the Cubs won the world series.
I wonder if you have ordered Ginny Owens new album Say Amen. If you have not ordered it, I wonder why you have not ordered it yet.

My random thoughts for 6-22-09: homework to a busy weeks
I just might be in trouble tonight. I have not done all of my homework for a course that I am taking. I e-mail the instructor of the class Monday night in how some of the assignment was suppose to be done. The instructor never got back to me so it is not done. If it is brought up in class why it is not done I just might point out how my questions was not answered. Or just may be I might be quite and let the instructor pick on me.
It was great to get together with some friends over the weekend. There is nothing like eating some greasy pizza and talking about everything under sky.
0 for 2. Two weeks ago I bought a new mattress. The first one delivered last week had a rip in the pillow top. The one delivered Saturday had a big grease stain on pillow top (voids warranty) . Customer service said they will contact me today on how they plan on solving this problem. I wonder if we can go 0 for 3. Lol
Thursday I am suppose to go golfing with a group of friends. I have yet to swing a golf club. I am not sure if I am even able to sing a golf club. I have a bad feeing on how this is going to turn out.
I am finally willing to admit that I am trying to learn how to play the guitar. I am trying to do this on my own. It is a lot harder then I thought. I can play the sixth string e pretty good. lol

making a difference

A funny e-mail that a friend sent to me.
Grandma is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car. She writes:
Dear Grand-daughter,
The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a ‘Honk if you love Jesus’ bumper sticker ..
I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting.
So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper.
Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed.
I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn’t notice that the light had changed.
It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn’t honked, I’d never have noticed.
I found that lots of people love Jesus!
While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, ‘For the love of God!’
‘Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!’
What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus!
Everyone started honking!
I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those loving people.
I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love!
There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach.
I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air.
I asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant.
He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something.
Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii , so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign right back.
My grandson burst out laughing.
Why even he was enjoying this religious experience!!
A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me.
I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed.
So, grinning, I waved at all my brothers and sisters, and drove on through the intersection.
I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared.
So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away. Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!!

Ugh! I have homework do today.
Last week I was given homework for class I am taking on line. I am suppose to come up with a mission statement for myself. This mission statement should be something to inspire me when I am stuck while trying to write something.
This has not been as easy as I thought it would be when it was assigned. I first thought of I am who I am. Then there is the statement that I hang by my desk at work that says God is God and I am not. Whenever someone ask me if I am upset with place in life I always think of and say I am just clay and God is the potter. Some clay is made for noble purposes some for everyday uses. Who am I to question God when He formed me. None of these seem to inspiring. They are mostly to remind me that God is the one Who is in control of my life.
Then there is Isaiah 41:10
10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
This is an important verse in my life. I let fear to hold me back at times serving God the way He truly deserves to served. I have this verse inscribed on a dog tag behind a cross that I have worn off and on over the last few years.
I just wonder if this is inspiring enough for my instructor. I believe it is not as much as not being inspired that is holding me back as much as it is fear that is holding me back when I am struggling trying to do something.
I guess I still have to think of this one a little bit longer.

I just read the most depressing news story in a long time. I am just beside myself. I do not think that I will be able to sleep in days. The world is coming to an end. The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
