6-5-09 random thoughts from disappointment with govgab to oil prices

If you ever looked at my blog roll, you would see GovGab there. I have been a big supporter of the work they had done. This began to change on Memorial Day. You would figure that a government blog would write about Memorial Day or the services that the VA provides. Instead, they wrote about national parks. I guess that informing the public about national parks must be very important because they have done five post about them during the last six weeks.

One of blogs that I routinely read is my friend Amy’s blog. She was invited to be a part of a panel at a book convention. Some of big literature  bloggers seem not to happy with the make up of the panel. Instead of directing some of their criticism at the make up of the panel, maybe they should be asking why the host of the event decided they did not represent what they were looking for.

Is it okay to say Happy Memorial Day. For some reason saying that just does not sit right with me.

It is humbling to have the privilege to pray for my friends and family members.

Can someone explain why the cost of oil is going up. This economy is continuing to get worse and people are driving less and the price of oil goes up. Little over a month ago the oil producers stated the oil needs to be seventy dollars a barrel. Guess what the price went up. Now they want oil to be ninety dollars a barrel. The price goes up but the demand goes down. I wonder if the oil future traders are getting a kick backs for making the price of oil to go up.

I hope that you all have a great weekend.
