Ginny Owens at the Cup O Joy
Last night I had the opportunity to catch a Ginny Owens show. It was probably the best Ginny Owens show I have seen so far. Ginny sang all of her radio hits and sang a song that is going to be on a unnamed future album. What amazes me is Ginny’s humor. It is a innocent kind of quirky humor, but a good laugh. Ginny told this joke during her show. What do you call a fish missing its eye? A fsssshhhh. Through the remainder of the show she would say fssssshh. Believe me it was funny. During the show a baby began to cry and as the mother rushed to take the baby out but Ginny stopped what she was doing and said bless that child. There was no senses of anger during that statement. In fact, you could tell it was said it in love. The people sitting around me seemed surprised and happy with Ginny’s response.
After the show there was time to meet Ginny while having the opportunity to buy one of Ginny’s albums. They were sold out of Ginny’s live album (buy it instead of her best of album) and they were running out of the rest of the albums. YAY for that. I just hope that Ginny is able to get more albums up here before tonight’s show. I stopped by to say hi to Ginny and had my usual shy I have trouble speaking to people moments. We talked about the storms that went through Mississippi to her web presence and about the Finger Print Initiative. I told Ginny about Brody and Ginny said that a NEW website is almost done. YAYThe venue for the show was a great. The Cup o Joy has a few monitors around the seating area so if you cannot see the stage you can watch the show on one of the monitors. The staff is extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure that you enjoy the show. If you ever have a chance to see a show at the Cup, it is well worth the time and effort to get to the show.

One last thing, if you get the chance, please pray for Ginny and her family
