words
Words what do they mean? It seems that each person views a particular word or groups of word differently. We are left trying to decide if the words spoken about us define us.
These are the few things that have been said to me. You are a loser and bum who will spend his life living in a gutter. (High school science teacher) Those who can, do. Those who cannot, teach. (My grandfather told me this when he found out I was going to college to get a history degree.) You are too stubborn to admit that you are wrong. In fact, the more you know you are wrong the adamantly you will argue you are right. (My mother) Some of your ideals are way out there. (Life long friend)
So, I guess that means that I am a stubborn loser who lives in the gutter because I never admit that my crazy ideals are wrong. If I could do something, I would not have gone to college to get a history degree.
I chose not allow those words to define me. Are there any words out there that are defining you that should not be defining you? Is it time for you to choose the words that will define you?
